    They freaking loved Elway.

I have never heard yells like that at a sporting event. Not anywhere.

And Steelers fans may love individual players to a point, but for the most part, it's all about the laundry.

Yes, and Stephen McGee looked like the second coming last night, too. ;)

I think Elway was sort of a special case, no?

Or Cam Newton? His presence at Auburn allowed Jesus to have a new roof over his Father's House. Praise Da Lord

Just a guy losing super bowls? Ridiculous.

When Favre was with the Packers, he was usually cheered on the road, unless it was in Minneapolis or Chicago.

After what Elway did to the Browns, it's no wonder Steeler fans loved him.

The "guy losing Super Bowls" tag is 93 Devilian in its ignorance.

Those Broncos teams had no business playing in those games. Elway was the only reason they made it. He's the second-best QB I've seen play in 30-plus years of obsessively watching football. Montana is the only one better. Brady and Manning aren't in the conversation. Neither was as clutch.

Eagles put Steve Smith on the PUP list.
A player who begins the regular season on the PUP list must sit out his team's first six games. After that point, a team has three weeks to start having the player practice; once the player begins practicing, the team has another three weeks to put the player on the active roster. If the player is not activated by that time, or if he does not begin practicing within that three week window, he must remain on the PUP list for the remainder of the season.

Jerry Reese, Ginats GM, has taken some fan abuse for not signing Smith. Maybe he knew what he was doing, this time. But he still hasn't replaced Smith or Boss for that matter.
