You still haven't provided the 2nd rounders that were cut in their first camp. You said there were plenty so it shouldn't be too difficult.

You got me, JC. I put two seconds thought into that statement. Let's just call every player that was drafted in the second round and not a starter a bust.

A second-rounder still comes in with pretty high expectations. If you're trying to fill out a 53-man roster and you're whiffing on one of the supposedly top 60 players coming into the league in a given year, you're going to be a bad team.

Unless you are taking a project at a long-term position (QB ... maybe tackle?) you should expect your second rounders to be significant contributors pretty much immediately. With the average length of an NFL career, teams need at the very least two or three starters out of each draft.

    True.

And Sonner, I am putting five seconds thought into this, I would estimate about 70-80 percent of all second rounders will someday start in the NFL for more than a season. That means that 20-30 percent will not. So calling them busts might be a little harsh.

Why did you address me with that statement? I never disputed whatever it was you were trying to claim. At least not publicly.

Plus, I already had a good idea of how much thought you put into the things you say on here. I'm just glad it's documented now. Overjoyed.

First, Jeff Otah was a first-round pick, not a second-round selection.

Second, he was out all last year with a knee injury.

Third, please get your facts straight before going off the deep end.

    Thank you.

Also, didn't Otah play pretty well from day one and the only reason he wasn't starting was the injury?

Yes, he was starting and very effective. Tremendous run-blocker with a bit of a nasty streak. Perfect for what the Panthers have done ... and while Ron Rivera and Rob Chudzinski are trying to give the offense some life, they had probably seen enough of what the offensive line, when healthy, along with DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart can do, not to try to fix something not broken.

Otah out of the NFL? Some teammates and coaches can probably vouch for his presence in Spartanburg and Charlotte.

Aside from the Steelers out and out kicking the Dream Team's ass last night ... ;D
Did anybody listen to Terry Bradshaw? He musta been off his meds, because he was awful!
I take he doesn't get along well with Aikman either? The three man booth was lots of uncomfortable.
