Lots of ugly from the starting offenses in Bears/Giants so far.

The Bears' offensive line looked decent, which is an upgrade from "abortion." In that sense, this was a scintillating and encouraging VICTORY.

I was happy with the way Cutler threw the ball.

Roy Williams could be a nice addition whenever he is activated.

    Special teams play was putrid.
    b. Why wasn't Hester returning anything? ESPN couldn't be bothered to even mention his absence.

Probably don't want to have him returning preseason punts.

Cutler looked comfortable, and yes, the O line was stellar compared to last week. But Roy Williams can't catch, Hester blew a sure TD because he tripped over his own feet and the short-yardage offense continues to suck.

I'd just like to point out that the Redskins have the top-ranked offense and defense in the NFL after wins against the Steelers and Colts. :)

Why would you want him returning punts in a pre-season game?

Steelers lock up one of their key players who will be a free agent after the 2011 season, linebacker Lawrence Timmons. Interesting that they got a deal done for him but not Troy Polamalu, at least not yet.

I guess this did not occur to me. I (incorrectly) seem to remember Hester returning punts in preseasons past.
