Not drunk. I'll reserve judgment until I can dissect the game film more precisely, I guess.

I'm wondering how many of the missed tackles were due to Bush? He looked pretty damn elusive on the parts I saw.

I don't think this defense is markedly improved from last year. I think it will be better, but not enough to make up for how completely craptastic it was last year.

I haven't pored over the numbers, and maybe they don't look that bad on paper. But the number of arm tackles and grasping at air and ankle-twisting misses are truly jaw-dropping.

Probably under the expert, seasoned "veteran tutelage" of his brother Dmitri, who has all kinds of time to mentor ;D ;D ;D Delmon now that he's been booted loose by the Tigers.

    :D :D :D

I watched the whole Browns game today, and was pretty much unimpressed by Bush. He was slippery, but never busted open any big plays. I think part of that is because Cleveland's front 7 is going to be pretty decent this year and they were focused on stopping the run.

I'll take your word for it, I was subjected to Panthers/Falcons today. And like I said, a lot of what you may have seen was the secondary, which is banged up and not very good in the first place. I think the front 7 may be able to compensate. Time will tell, they've got the Bengals on the road next week.

Edit: Headbutt beat me to the front 7 thought.

Looking at how the NFC South did today.....

    Atlanta looked unbeatable
Carolina is worthless without Steve Smith
    Tampa Bay looked horrible
New Orleans looked alright, but heaven help them if Brees or either of their RB get hurt.

    All in good fun, Chef.

I think you should change your screen name every week to honor an ex-Chief. Like Chef Elvis Grbac or Chef Bill Kenney or Chef Todd Blackledge.
