    Atlanta has bombed out twice with NHL franchises. I would think several other metro areas -- Houston and Utah mainly -- would be higher on the list. And I'd think at some point Kansas City would make a solid bid for a winter sports franchise.

    I watched the Isles on Monday when I went down to the X and saw them get their ass handed to them by an even more destitute team in the Wild. That performance was certainly a firing offense, but the second half of that is a bit interesting.

    As a Habs fan I’m happy Roy is back in the league, and also happy it’s not in Montreal.

    He was much calmer in his most recent stint in the Q, winning a Memorial Cup.

    Wouldn’t mind some fireworks in his first game again:
