Penn makes a reasonable point about Pennsylvania. It's huge to the Democrats in November. I'd like Penn to explain how Clinton will win PA without the black vote, which will abandon her if she steals the nomination. The same is true in Ohio.

  2. States that neither Democrat has a chance in hell of winning in the fall eliminated from list.
You want them to shut up, beat them. Finish the play.
The other campaign is under no obligation, moral or otherwise, to get out of the way just because you want it to.

Our wonderful guv, Ed Rendell today:
And I kid you not...Obama cancels a suburban Pittsburgh event in order to go back to Washington for Senate business, ol' Ed says this is proof Obama cares less about the people of PA.

Ed, all 3 remaining candidates did the same thing today.
I'd love for him to get impeached, he's an absolute embarrassment.

    Bullshit, bullshit and more bullshit.

When you can't win, you put away the long knives against the prohibitive favorite. They don't have to quit, but they sure as shit should quit going negative.

Even Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee knew this.

To Romney's credit, he figured he'd be able to change his mind and re-enter the race in May.

And, I'll play the other game, too.

    Texas
    Rhode Island
    Ohio
    Tennessee
    New Mexico
    Arizona
    California
    Oklahoma
    Arkansas
    New York
    Mass.
    New Jersey
    Michigan
    New Hampshire
    Nevada

Now, remove the states no Dem has a shot at winning, and you're left with:

    Rhode Island
    Ohio
    New Mexico
    California
    Arkansas
    New York
    Mass.
    New Jersey
    Michigan
    New Hampshire
    Nevada

Now, lets remove the states that no Dem has any chance in hell of losing. Leaves us with:

    Ohio
    New Mexico
    Arkansas
    New Hampshire
    Nevada

And I'm being generous here leaving New Hampshire on the list, because I think she loses it to McCain.
    Compare that to:

    Iowa
    Delaware
    Connecticut
    Missouri
    Virginia
    Wisconsin
    Georgia
    Maryland
    Maine
    Colorado
    Alaska
    Minnesota
    Nebraska
    Washington

    Care to tally electoral votes?

  7. I'm sorry.
I never saw that rulebook, and the Republicans, against whom Obama has said not nearly enough, damn sure didn't read it.

Your Clinton Rulebook gets longer and longer.

More importantly -- one other fallacy in the Ed Rendell plan for stealing the election -- he and the rest of the Clinton cheerleaders are all claiming that Clinton is "more electable" if she wins Pa......

Really, according to the polling I've seen -- RealClear Politics has a great breakdown --

In Pa. McCain is ahead of both Dem's but it is well within in the margin on each -- so there is no difference between the two in this state in the fall -- it will be all turnout and if a lot of blacks decide to stay home when Hillary steals the nomination, she ain't winning Pa.

Further, both Hillary and Obama are ahead of McCain in Ohio -- but again well within the margin and basically by the same amount -- so the idea that Hillary is stronger in these swing states against McCain (which is all that counts) is plain silly......

And just for good measure McCain is kicking both's ass in Florida.

So in short -- Obama's chances in the three swing states Ed Rendell insists the entire nomination process should be decided on are no different than Hillarys.

Of course, CNN and MSNBC will never break it down quite like this, not as long as they are continuing to conspire to keep Clinton alive......

    Ed Rendell is a joke.
This commonwealth longs for the days of Tom Ridge, believe me.

I don't know much about Media Matters. But I found this interesting bit while searching for info on McCain's war experiences.

I also know that he's taken some heat recently for possibly not being worthy of all that was noted in his Silver Star commendation. I just find it interesting. No politician would ever suggest it, but I'm less than enamored with McCain's status as a war hero. There's no doubt that he exhibited a lot of courage. To me, though, a war hero is someone who carries an injured shoulder two miles on his back, etc., etc. I'm not sure I agree with all the blessings once cast on Kerry, either. But it's all pretty subjective stuff.
