    Wonderful.

A whole lot of Democrats have apparently been asleep the last eight years.

And the shamelessness continues -- CNN just had a whole segment on the fiery sermon preached by Barack Obama's pastor.....

God Almighty, now our candidates can't go to church without having to refute everything that is said by the pulpit.

    This is getting asinine

  3. Unless the "won't vote at all" is in there somewhere, I don't know what the poll means.
You can count on the Rev. Wright being a big co-star as the narrative rolls on.

Dude, the guy spent six years in the Hanoi Hilton, was bayoneted, starved and tortured and refused a chance to be released unless the other prisoners with him were released as well. Whether or not you agree with his politics, the man is a war hero. Same goes for Kerry and pulling his men out from under fire in the Swift Boats. That man earned his silver star, smear campaign be damned. Disagree with their politics if you want, but at least have some respect for what they did.

I'm with statrat. The man's a genuine hero. Doesn't make him right on the issues. But there isn't any reason to question that.

McCain is four more years of Fredo, on steroids. That's bad enough.

I would say refusing to be released qualifies him as a hero. But being held for six years and being tortured doesn't in and of itself make you a hero. Otherwise, lots of people in Guantanamo would qualify as heroes. But I'm really not trying to argue the point. I just find it interesting. That's all. I sort of went looking because I expected to read some amazing stories about his war heroism. I didn't find any. But there probably are some out there. I'd like to read about them just to learn more about the guy.

It's OK. They don't know much, either.

What about editing three girls basketball stories by stringers in the half-hour before deadline? Does that make me a hero?

I'm loving the race-baiting going on by the Clinton campaign -- it is as if they are taking a page right out of Jesse Helms' playbook -- and it will likely cost her the White House come the election day in the fall -- after she successfully steals the nomination by painting Obama as the black candidate with ties to Muslims and a hateful pastor who hates white people -- when the blacks stay at home..........

Of course, I'm sure the spin will be the same as it always has been from Hilda and Slick Willy "what me? Who me? I had no knowledge of any of this....."

Maybe that's why George W Bush rarely goes to church and doesn't really seem to have any particular theological beliefs, and yet somehow became the most beloved president the Christian Right has ever had.

Yes! I'll pin the medals to your chest myself, and I mean right to your chest.
