Well, since she single-handedly brought peace to Northern Ireland, this is appropriate.

Spitzer loses his SD vote. And the Lt. was already a Clinton SD. So, since NY, apparently, does not replace the Lt. Gov., HRC loses one SD.

I would guess a green Yankees hat!

  4. She, of course, didn't say that, and George Mitchell himself pointed out the importance of her work with Irish women's groups -- the ones that were nothing less than vital in jump-starting the peace process. But carry on.

    'Twas all in fun, Fenian.

Soon as ye finish that one, it's Sinbad's shout.

  6. Do we really want to leave it to Florida to elect the Democratic nominee? The citizens and politicians don't deserve a do-over, they made their bed and now they need to live with it. They had how many years to get this ironed out after Bush-Gore.

    Michigan, oh well.

  7. I think zeke's right.
    Florida's pretty much screwed.
My proposal for the Tostitos Florida Primary is still viable, I think.

Doesn't help that VP wannabe Charlie Crist is the governor of the schlong state. Push for a new primary? Sure! Why not throw more crap into the nominating process and help out McCain a little more?

Doesn't matter. In fact, I don't understand why so much is made of Florida in the general. Yes, I remember 2000, but that's not my point. It's not a battleground state. It's decidedly red. Neither Democratic candidate will win Florida. Hillary's insistence of sticking with the Ohio-Pennsylvania-Florida strategy is why she is roundly getting her ass kicked in the delegate count.

Is there anybody out there suggesting the Democrats just stick with the rules and not seat the damn delegates - or is that just a crazy idea?

Makes sense to me but it's not going to happen.

And if I'm the governor of Florida or Michigan there's no way in hell I'm paying for another primary. Let the DNC or the state party pay for it.

  12. Doc -
If Florida doesn't matter for that reason, then a lot of Obama's wins don't count, either. And Florida was winnable in 2004, too.
