Has the fun begun yet, lady?

Her approval in upstate NY is based on the hundreds of millions of dollars in earmarks she has made to benefit her "home" state. Does she have any national legislative accomplishments? She entered the Senate with the Clinton name and the clout of a former first lady and hasn't done anything of note. She was biding her time before her inevitable ascension to the White House.

The fake Clinton under sniper fire story has been getting some traction.

Newsweek even compared her to Reagan!!!

She elaborated, according to news accounts of the press conference, by saying, "Part of the reason we were in the C-17 is because part of it is armored â€¦ I was moved up into the cockpit. Everyone else was told to sit on their bulletproof vests. There was no greeting ceremony, and we were basically told to run to our cars. Now, that is what happened."

That clearly is not what happened, but it raises the question of whether Clinton actually remembers it that way. Clinton's conjured combat memories recall the imaginings of actor-turned-president Ronald Reagan, who spent World War II making war movies on Hollywood lots but decades later spoke as if the roles he had played were real. On separate occasions, according to biographers, Reagan gave others the impression that he had been at Normandy and at the liberation of the Nazi death camps. Reagan reportedly later told an associate, "Maybe I had seen too many war movies, the heroics of which I sometimes confused with real life."

But it also would undercut his best message against McCain -- change, meaningful change.

The deal to be cut is giving HRC the Senate Majority Leader seat. It's also, honestly, where she'd be most effective, IMHO. And sending Harry Reid back to obscurity would be wonderful.

Oh, was that reported at the time? I guarantee you it wasn't, even though everybody in the government knew it, at least by Term 2. (McManus and Mayer have an anecdote in their book, Landslide, in which a WH counsel lawyer is tasked to research the 26th Amendment by Baker, I think it was.)
No, it was "Ho, ho, ho, old Dutch. What a card."
If people hung on everything Reagan said and came to the same conclusion that various wingnuts have come to about the Clintons, President Mondale would have retired wioth honor.

Chelsea has got to be on the verge of being disgruntled at this point. Weeks ago, she was in Columbia, MO., then went to Cal State Dominguez Hills in carson.

Now she spoke in Bloomington, but then had to go to the hole that is Muncie, IN.

She must REALLY love her mother.

Snap out of that fantasy life. Mondale got as close to the White House residence as Jimmah's special guest and late night meetings.
