I'm really surprised that there was a big turnout, with it being Pro Bowl Sunday.

The AP's given Maine to Obama, as well. The AP story gives a good indication as to the volume of voters in Maine - at the city caucus at Portland High School, mutiple lines went for three blocks each.

  3. Give me a break. I'm still working on the jargon.
    CNN called it, too.

Are you insinuating that I'm gullible? I think what makes his message resonate is that he's actually telling the truth. Perhaps Obama's not the great savior he purports to be. But he makes a strong argument. Why do you think he's such a good speaker? When you don't have to lie through your teeth, the words come out like sweet notes.

Hillary, though, claims to have 30 years of experience but fails to point out a damned thing that she actually accomplished in those 30 years. I mean, other than letting her hubby get a BJ in the Oval Office and then staying by his side for what appear to be political reasons even after he disgraced his entire family.

Had it not been for Bill's extra-curricular activities, there might be 4,000 more American soldiers waking up Monday morning. Instead, he blew it for Gore, who almost pulled out the nomination despite the black eye Clinton left on the party. Now, we're going down the same road with HRC. Look at the numbers. It's clear as a bell. She won't win. I know this because I'll vote for Obama, but I won't cast a vote for Hillary. I'll waste mine on an alternative candidate who doesn't stand a chance in hell of even getting a cabinet spot.

Oh my. I am really in need of some medication. Mr. Grumpy is out in full force tonight.

  6. God, no.
I'm saying that your reaction is exactly what Obama is hoping for, and a very precise depiction of the energy that's driving his campaign.

Along the same lines, there was a piece in last week's Newsweek on studying voter trends. It's not earth-shattering news by any means, but it's still relevant to explaining Obama's energetic appeal:

Okay then. I take back all the bad stuff I said. I love you, in a completely platonic way. Of course, if my guy gets the White House, it would be okay if I loved you in other ways, just not in Texas. But don't keep your fingers crossed.

If you woke up as Hillary's campaign manager today, well, then today is not your day.

Doh, I was out all day, and haven't read everything.

BTW, my instant analysis says "too little, too late." It won't matter. Hillary is Dewey. Yesterday's news.

I hope you're right. But something tells me she'll figure out a way to claw her way back into the race, with fair tactics or foul.
