I thought we use delegates to keep score?

What do the polls say about the next few days?

  5. The calendar really likes Obama for the next couple of weeks.
I've decided the Michigan/Florida problem may be unsolvable. Vote again? Caucus? Seat a delegation based on the national split of the popular vote? (MSNBC was pitching that one last night). And all because of the stupid pride-of-place bullshit to keep Iowa and New Hampshire happy.

New HRC ad stars former Senator and Wal-Mart lobbyist John Breaux. He currently works for Trent Lott's lobbying firm.

    Oops.

Rasmussen has Obama up 18 in Virginia and 26 in Maryland. If Obama wins the three states today and sweeps the Potomac by big numbers on Tuesday, will Clinton still be ahead in Ohio and Texas? How many losses can she sustain before a gap emerges between the candidates? Maybe not in delegates, but in perception. It'll be interesting to see.

Also, it was disappointing Hillary didn't visit New Orleans before the Louisiana Primary.

That's the $64 question of February.

Obama will close the gap considerably in the month of February. He may even take the lead, but he'd have to obliterate Hillary in several states to do that. Which is certainly possible.

The Latino vote will help Hillary win Texas, and I'd think Ohio goes to Obama.

Which means on March 11 in Pennsylvania ... it's gonna be on like Donkey Kong.

There's no gap to close. It's essentially even.

While the raw popular vote is essentially even, the delegate count leaves Hill with a slight advantage.

    The count going into today:

    1,033 for Hillary
    937 for Obama
    (CNN)

    1,024 for Hillary
    933 for Obama
    (Faux)
