The issue was the vote to strip that provision out of the FISA bill and whether the provision is even legal. Since it was my post, it's fair to say I know what I was posting about. But thanks for explaining that it really is about lots of other things that I plainly don't know about.

Sorry for interjecting my neuroses. Here's some raw meat instead, Butchie.

I've answered your question twice now. You just don't like the answer because I don't necessarily believe that the quote came out of the blue or was worked into the conversation by Rendell. A quote without context in a story written by an Obama supporter carries no weight with me.

I can feel the Huckmentum in my heart. Although, strangely, I've seen almost no campaign stickers or signs for either Huck or McCain here in Cowshitistan. Doesn't anyone care about this godforsaken steppe? I think Huck can take Texas, despite the fact that Gubbna Perry, Kay Bailey Nosferatu and the rest of the party big wheels are backing McCain.

You have not answered the question.

What do you think Rendell's motivation for calling five percent of his supporters rank bigots is?

Where did you read that? I didn't see where the Obama supporter who wrote the story used a quote like that. I must have glazed over that part. And it didn't make Page 1? And the Post-Gazette thought it was only worth 4-5 grafs. Wow.

"You've got conservative whites here, and I think there are some whites who are probably not ready to vote for an African-American candidate," he said bluntly. Our eyes only met briefly, perhaps because the governor wanted to spare the only black guy in the room from feeling self-conscious for backing an obvious loser. "I believe, looking at the returns in my election, that had Lynn Swann [2006 Republican gubernatorial candidate] been the identical candidate that he was --well-spoken [note: Mr. Rendell did not call the brother "articulate"], charismatic, good-looking -- but white instead of black, instead of winning by 22 points, I would have won by 17 or so."

The Kay Bailey label is among the best I've seen in the political threads all season.

    Obama wins Virginia.

If the exits were correct (had him winning seniors and women) it's a HUGE win.

Guessing around a 60/40 win for Obama in Virginia. That's pretty big. So much for the "Obama only wins caucus states or small states" angle. Better come up with something else.

CNN called it accidentally before the polls closed. Someone put a graphic on the screen that said it about 30 seconds before the polls closed, then they officially called it a minute later.

MSNBC has Huck winning 27 votes to 15. :)

    For the sake of balance:

Latest polls have HRC HUGE, in Ohio.
