To win, one must compete. The first sign of doom for the Kerry campaign was the way they abandoned Missouri, Virginia, and other states to focus on Ohio and Florida. I believe the same is true for Clinton. People like to be with a winner, and the fact most Democrats find both candidates perfectly acceptable could make her polling numbers erode at warp speed.

A lack of money is the only plausible explanation for not expansively campaigning in Wisconsin.

At what point, if Huckabee can continue to win or be close in these states despite being mathematically eliminated from the race, does McCain get really, really embarassed?

I would've thought more on the hard-right would finally defect to McCain, but it just hasn't happened yet...

They're looking to make a point, as the Paul voters have. They have. But there's no semblance of critical mass, there.

I've said it before, maybe even in this thread, but the interesting thing about this McCain-Huckabee-Conservatives dynamic is that aside from social issues like gay marriage, Huckabee is further left on the spectrum.

Have to wait a while on Maryland results...

Polls open an extra hour and a half due to the weather.

He definitely is on fiscal/tax policy. He probably was on immigration too, until he started pandering to the red meat types.
