    You can't bury her, yet.

You can't, though the body language is VERY bad.

You can't, though she'll now have to reach deeply into the bag of sleazy tactics/dirty tricks to pull this off.

And at this point, the backfire potential of dirty tricks in the current opinion climate is very high.

The markets are now giving up to 13-5 on her . . . and she was the favorite, eight days ago.

I'll need to see the stake in her heart, in daylight, to be certain it's over.

A lot of people seem to feel this way, which is one reason Clinton isn't winning. People don't trust her. The lawsuit to close caucuses in Nevada and the dog and pony show in Florida didn't help that perception.

She's not going to give up and she's going to cripple Obama's chances in the general election in the process.

She doesn't give a shit about the party. She'd rather see McCain win so she can run again in four years.

  4. I think that might be going a bit too far. If it's obvious she's going to lose, I would think all the Democratic poo bahs would tell her to bow out gracefully. She still has to go back to the Senate. A knock down, drag out fight would hurt her party and damage her political future -- and yes she still has one if she loses gracefully.

That would be the politically smart thing to do anyway, and she's politicaly smart.

She has a future in the Senate, if she doesn't immolate it in the next six weeks.

She doesn't give a shit about the party or the Senate. All she cares about is being President.

  7. OK, you don't like her, yadda-yadda.
But you don't have an ounce of proof to back up your assertion and, if you really want to look for people willing to immolate a nominee for the purposes of running next time, look to the other party, some of whose leaders have as much as said so.

Yet McCain is running away with the nomination. Romney still has more delegates than Huckabee and he quit a week ago.

  9. Running away with it? Maybe, but barely 50 percent in Virginia?
Hell, Hillary beat him by 100K votes, and she got trounced on the other side.

    Lots of evangies in VA.

And in what's essentially a duel, I'm certain goodly numbers of GOP true believers voted for Huck, just to bust McCain's balls.

. . . and Dem enthusiasm continues to swamp GOP turnout, at a remarkable pace.

  11. I believe the true-believers will do that all the way to Mpls. next summer, where they will all have their pictures taken at the Larry Craig Memorial Stall at the airport.

BTW, Virginia is an open primary. Making it all the more impressive that Obama got more votes than anyone running as a Republican.
