If it wasn't for one small detail -- Hillary Clinton -- you might be right. But she was supposed to earn the nomination, so for Obama to win 10 straight against someone with so much clout and name recognition when the race began, it's no small feat.

And I think you're putting too much stock into one speech. How many people who voted for Obama at the primaries and caucuses do you think actually saw that speech, or voted for him because of that speech? My guess would be not many once the campaigns actually began.

The Clinton strategy is now becoming clear: Insult the electorate.

But it was Obama supporters for whom Buffenbarger saved his most vitriolic contempt, and he proved that the Democratic Party's coalition is nothing if not fragile. Channeling Howard Beale from the movie "Network," he yelled into the microphone, "Give me a break! I've got news for all the latte-drinking, Prius- driving, Birkenstock-wearing, trust fund babies crowding in to hear him speak! This guy won't last a round against the Republican attack machine. He's a poet, not a fighter."

    It's A strategy. I guess.

    A slimy strategy. Good god!

They are reaching, now. This seems like the political parallel of a coach/manager purposefully getting tossed from a basketball or baseball game to rally his troops.

Or running out of bullets, raring back and throwing the gun.

Ah, the old "They aren't real democrats" strategy.

Well, it certainly describes everyone I know who lives in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

I'm not one to play this card, but that rant kind of had tinges of racism to it.

I don't think she's going to exit gracefully, I can tell you that.

If Obama loses in November because of the divisiveness sewn by these creeps (and right now, no other word applies), not enough bad things can happen to Her.

As a union member, I am ashamed of Buffybarger's behavior last night.
