    Obama circle jerk!

  2. In any field that did not contain the campaigns run by Rudy! and the late Fred Thompson, HRC's campaign would stand out as one of the biggest lemons in the history of electoral politics. Wisconsin was a 4-6 point race on Friday. She came back to the state, worked her head off, and it got worse. Rendell held the delegate-selection process open for a couple of extra days, and the campaign still couldn't get it together enough to provide a slate for all the districts. This is staggering incompetence, and ought to be enough to put Mark Penn on the shelf permanently next to Bob (The Loser) Shrum.

Oh, I think there are now plenty of people on the other side of the aisle who have a greater appreciation for the things some of us learned about the Clinton twins the first time around.

  4. What would those be?
Signing a more-than-necessarily punitive welfare bill?
The 16 new ctaegories of death penalties?
The anti-terrorism act that contained the seeds of the Patriot Act?
Or is it the murders, the drug running at the Mena airport, the black love child, the "mysterious" death of Vince Foster?
Or is it simply the fact that he won two elections?

The problem for all three of them is they thought the same old shit was going to work this year. The public just isn't buying it.

McCain lucked into the republican side because he was on the outside while Rudy! and dead Fred fizzled, and the only alternatives were: a same-old-shit robotron being pushed by the same-old-shit right-wing assholes who stuck us with the last asshole; a lunatic evangilical who actually says some good, populist things but is way out there on other things and is the type of guy the folks in control of the party would never let get in; and a lunatic anti-government freak with a cult following who the rest of the party and candidates wouldn't even take seriously.

Not to mention the Telecommunications Act of 1996, which did much more than the Internet to send our business down the shitter.

Pledged delegates are meaningless.... they don't have to vote for the candidate they're pledged to:

  10. Yes, they are very much like NFL contracts that way.
Meanwhile, how bad is it going to get?
    THIS bad.

And before we start hearing about how this is some fringe loony, remember that the NR is about as mainstream rightist as you can get and that this frail used to write speeches for the vice-president of the United States.

But, for a white woman to marry a black man in 1958, or 60, there was almost inevitably a connection to explicit Communist politics.

Gee, it's hard to argue with logic like this.

That reads like one of Ron Paul's early '90s newsletters.
