    Thank god.

    Peggy Noonan is batshit insane.

  2. Yes, the Obamas are snobs.
    And I am Sean Bean.

Only she could criticize someone for failing to "unpack" his thoughts in one graf, then run a series of dingbats across the page and call them a snob a few lines later. Only she could enthusiastically back Fred Thompson and then continue to write as though she has her finger on the pulse of the American political scene.

It has to be a form of performance art I don't understand.

Shouldn't quotation marks be saved for, you know...actual quotes?

  6. Come what may, if you follow this stuff -- as I, pathetically, do --this has been a great year.

You can claim to be Sean Bean all you want, but you're not getting my number, dammit!

I had stopped following this stuff for years, as it was no longer interesting. Elections were seldom anything other than irritating, in regards to coverage and the choices voters had.

This year brought me back. It has been great to watch.

Same here. I felt pretty apathetic toward the primaries in 2004...I guess in part because I was a Bradley supporter in 2000.

    CNN calls Vermont.

    12 in a row.

Given that polls close 10 minutes ago, that seems a little premature.

God, these pundits are fucking insufferable. They're like ESPN anchors making predictions on things they can't possibly know. If this happens and then that happens then this will certainly happen unless that happens.
