Which to me, Fen, is Obama's best selling point. The war wasn't as popular in March 2003 as some think. I know I was against it from the offset, and plenty of others I know were too. And Obama was one of them. That's a point he really needs to drive home.

Some endorsements should just be turned down. Don't even return the phone call.

"Johnny! This is Georgie again! . . Uh, just wanna make sure you know I wanna give you my ensourcement! Call me back!"

"Uh, Johnny! Hey, buddy . . . . seeing as how you're the new guy, and I'm the old guy . . uh, call me. I want to support you in the upcoming electitude!"

Also: has anyone done a breakdown of how the race would be if the Demoratic primaries were winner-take-all? Just seems like it would be interesting to see.

Yeah, that makes sense -- a guy who is trying his best to endear himself to the base of a party blows off the party leader, who, despite his unfavorable ratings among the population at large, is still very popular among the conservative base.

Had John McCain blown of the George W. Bush, we could all go home the day the democrats figure out their race because McCain would be absolutely finished.

He can still win the election if the whackos on the left don't like him -- he cannot win without the conservative base coming out to vote for him and history shows if Repubicans don't like a candidate, they don't vote the other side -- they just don't vote which is just as bad.

  12. He can get the base without groveling this way, zag.
He has to grovel to them, not to el ducko lame-o.
