    A couple of protests/statue-toppling incidents:

Baltimore protesters toppled a Christopher Columbus statue and threw it in a harbor

You talk about the luck of there not being any gun-related incidents. Nonetheless, this group, frankly, lost me right from the start, with its name:

These events are losing my support, and, in my opinion, their impact, at this point. The images are doing nothing but reminding me of those when the statue of Sadam Hussein came down. And, I'm sorry, but I can't equate life in the U.S. with life in Iraq under Hussein. I doubt any of these protestors can, either.

Trump wants a race war. He wants to stoke the flames gradually until things really erupt the weekend before the election, thereby giving him an excuse to restrict voting.

Protesting isn’t meant to be comfortable. That’s the whole point.

Every member of the North Carolina Courage kneeled for the national anthem - again. Not a one-time thing. And wearing "BLACK LIVES MATTER" T-shirts in lieu of normal warm-ups.

(Live against the Chicago Red Stars now ... )

Everyone has an opinion about everything. Why not protests?
who’s the top of the latest Power Protest Rankings?
    1. Lesbians, even if they’re not the PornHub lesbians, lesbians get the top of the Power Rankings. Most imaginative signs. And they’re lesbians. Our imaginations are the greatest storytellers.
    2. Women’s protests. Mostly because they bring their kids and protesting with kids gets maximum points. Women seldom march as a block, but when they do, the numbers are big. And you get the opportunity to repeatedly say Pussyhat, which means they score in the pink zone often. Best snacks and juice boxes.
    3. LBGTQ... they take third place on the Protest Power Rankings largely because it’s the most diverse protesters. All gender identifications, by definition, are present. You get all colors, nationalities, languages and all the good religions make an appearance. They also have interesting signage. The variety of homosexuality makes it a vibrant event. From the leather jockstrap and chrome chain wearing hardcore bears from Portland, to the lipstick lesbians of Ann Arbor and Boston, to the trans and cross gender wardrobe of those just looking for a reality show, The LBGTQ...puts on the best show. But lack of national broadcast package keeps them off the top spot.
    4. Blacks. A premium is placed on the rarity of the event and every incident causes a protest. If you miss one, well, there’ll be another one soon. This group, who only represent 12.7% of the protesting population is responsible for 68% of the protests. Their signage, to be candid, is almost nonexistent, and when it does appear is relatively generic and non memorable. This causes them to miss out on power points allocated to sarcasm, irony and wit. They will argue that the emphasis placed on the written portion is biased and racist, but ratings don’t lie. Can’t have a protest without good memes. What they lack in originality and humor they make up for with choreography and violence. Let’s face it, this is still America, a good dance routine followed by the ritual looting of liquor stores and Target and alighting cars and dumpsters is still worth 6 points every time.
    5. Immigrants. No one wants to see it but they have hands down the best food trucks.
