The jury members -- six white, four black and two biracial, if I recall -- may indeed have been afraid of prompting rioting. Fortunately, that didn't preclude their reaching the right decision.

Seriously, find me a grand jury reviewing a police shooting that is escorted by a DA and tell me THEY don't feel pressured to find no fault with the shooting. Did the LAPD need five cops to beat on Rodney King? Well, I guess so - the jury said.

Really - all I know now is that cops are still free to shoot unarmed civilians - they just can't kneel on the neck and choke the life out of them. If that's a dealbreaker for some cops or those interested in the profession - they have no business wearing a badge.

May doesn’t mean probable; far from that. I despise that type of projection. I agree they did the right thing.

Nazis are afraid to talk about their beliefs, too.

Also let’s stop calling these folks “conservatives.” They may be Republicans, but that doesn’t mean they believe in conservative ideals.

How long did Daumer last in the hole? A couple months? A year, tops, right?

About 2 years. Convicted in December 1992, killed in November 1994.
