Running racism in America thread

Most of the Ocean City cops are nothing more than Summer workers, glorified security guards. Once Labor Day has passed, they’ll be back at school or another job.

 

Back in the 80s I heard a tale that the Virginia Beach Police Dept. would hire summer cops, give them a ticket book with preprinted offenses and fines, and essentially tell them to go find someone doing something that matched.
I can't verify that, but as sailors, we were cautioned against Va. Beach in peak tourist season.

 

4 Long Beach PD officers took the cuffs OFF a Brown man (is Brown capitalized now like Black when referring to skin color?) after 15 minutes of questions and let him go after he signs a citation. The Brown man rode his bike away to live another day.

 

What were her parents like? How do people get this way?
