I was so appalled when I saw that story.
I'm not sure why pulling over a chartered bus gives you the authority to search ALL the luggage.
I'm not a lawyer, but I wonder if there's a chance for a false imprisonment charge against the so-called officers.

Still crazy to me that the biggest threat presented by media like "1984" was that the government and authority would use surveillance to monitor and punish the populace. And now, here in 2022, body camera footage is often the one thing revealing these shitheels as the fuckwads that they are.
