BREAKING: Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of murdering George Floyd, was stabbed by another inmate and seriously injured Friday at a federal prison in Arizona, a person familiar with the matter told @AP.

They need to check his blood to make sure he didn’t already have a high quantity of sharpened toothbrush in it.

Before I care, was he trying to pass counterfeit soups at the commissary?

I don’t think I’ve read/heard anything on this since the initial report. I’m surprised no one’s leaking given how high profile Chauvin is.

I suspect Chauvin's doing most of the ... ahem ... leaking.

Been curious myself, especially about at bit of reporting from the initial story that needs follow-up.

AP reported that Chauvin’s lawyer advocated that he be kept out of general population when transferred from Minnesota to Arizona federal prison. For obvious reasons.

I have not looked hard, but haven’t read if Chauvin was in gen pop or not. The guy is heinous. But it would be insane if an ex-cop convicted of that crime would be exposed that way.

He was not in isolation, but he was not in genpop, he was in with the snitches and the child molesters in the protected unit. I guess those guys want credit for shanking Chauvin same as the rest.
