I didn't intend to overlook Long Beach in my recaps about Santa Monica. Both areas were trashed. People I know in SM say the police did nothing except keep the crowd in control next to the pier. Once the crowd left the pier area, very little was done to stop the looting. Late last night, they were arresting people who were ignoring the curfew. That was after the looting had stopped.
