    What speed? Not in football, anyway ...

    And I LIKE Va. Tech. But Boise State walked into someone else's territory - yeah, yeah, D.C. ... it's still Virginia Tech's region - and went toe-to-toe with a quality program. Again.

    While I couldn't be happier for Boise State, I wish it weren't against one of the top ACC programs. But, then again, maybe John Swofford will get it one of these days. Don't hold your breath, though.


    Commence more idiotic bashing of programs who have proven themselves worthy of major consideration - repeatedly. At some point, even the critics might have to acknowledge that this program is a little more than a couple of trick plays and an on-field busting or two.

    And give credit to Boise. They were out of this game and pulled this rabbit out of the hat. They may not be the No. 3 team, but still, a solid win. We'll see how it stands up in December.
