So we're pretty much looking at chaos if/when we finish with:

    -- Unbeaten Boise State
-- Unbeaten or 1-loss Big Ten champ
-- Unbeaten or 1-loss SEC champ
-- and what if there's an unbeaten Big XII champ?

    holy shit.

Remember how good things were in Coral Gables and Tallahassee when those programs joined the ACC. Also, keep in mind that Mr. Swofford never wanted the good folks in Blacksburg until their "friends" in Charlottesville stood up for them.

The ACC doesn't need more rule-bending crap. Stuff which has happened in Coral Gables, Tallahassee and Chapel Hill is enough. (Clemson, too, if one wishes to backtrack to the Danny Ford Era ... )

But I get the point. And it's worth a laugh or four.

Can't see a team running the table in the Big 10 or Big 12.

But if there are three or more unbeaten teams Boise won't be in the championship game. Schedule is just too weak.

If there are only two unbeaten teams and Boise is one of them they'll probably get in.

Better question will be, what if there are three unbeatens and two are TCU & Boise? Which one gets left out?

I looked at TCU's schedule, too. I think I'd let best-win decide between them ... and I think best-win of the two was tonight.

As to the Big XII teams, I'm not sure some of their schedules are all that daunting.

And possibly lost in the defeat: Tyrod Taylor was about 1,000% better than I've ever seen him.

Whoope de do. Chaos is the middle name of BCS.

It's very simple to implement a workable playoff. Schools choose not to.

SOS would determine it and my guess is TCU would win that by a mile. Mountain West is a hell of a lot tougher than the WAC.

    RE: Big 12

For example, Nebraska's schedule has Texas (at home) and pretty much nothing else of real consequence before the Big XII title game. Now, whether or not they'll have a single call go their way in a conference game might be another matter entirely.

I'll gladly cheer for the (insert name of power conference here) to get screwed if it moves us any closer to a playoff.

    OU beats Texas
    Texas beats Nebraska
Nebraska beats OU in the title game.

Not for at least four years during this cycle. But, again, it's easy to implement to keep the current bowl schedule.
