Gorsuch: "Some will think the district court did not go far enough," while "others will think the district court went too far by undervaluing the social benefits associated with amateur athletics." "For our part, though, we can only agree with the Ninth Circuit: 'The national debate about amateurism in college sports is important. But our task as appellate judges is not to resolve it. Nor could we. Our task is simply to review the district court judgment through the appropriate lens of antitrust law.' That review persuades us the district court acted within the law's bounds."

Kavanaugh: "The Court holds that the NCAA has violated the antitrust laws. The Court's decision marks an important and overdue course correction."

Is Bart O'K a sports nut? Did he write this with the love and knowledge of the things he listed here to did he draft off someone else's heat?

Running trains on drunk chicks in high school is one thing but I'd be impressed if Bart O'K wrote this in the same vein of Murray, Royko, or Whitlock.

Does this apply to guys like Charles Woodson, Chris Webber or other retired athletes?

Yeah, it reads like he asked his clerks really quick to name the great stuff in college sports, then doubled back to make sure he covered everyone. LAX!

I read that the same lawyer that got this case to the Supremes has just such a case working now.
