This applies everywhere, right? Including federal government hiring?

I can't see how this does not lead to a large number of Asian students taking admission slots at elite universities. In a couple of years the White people celebrating today will be howling mad. I wonder how long it takes for the Court to revisit this ruling. Admissions for White women are going to take a hit. I assume the kids of rich Whites are still going to get in, but the competition for a more limited number of available admission slots will be intense.

I'm sure they'll be totally cool with this, because at least the playing field is fair now. You know, like how home sports fans simply want the game to be called down the middle.

This (illegitimate) court is nothing more than a rich, white, republican revenge fantasy. Again, to all the Bernie holdouts and Jill Stein voters in 2016, thanks again and go fuck yourselves.

Really a nice trick using an amendent passed to enfranchise former slaves to shut down a path to a college education for African Americans. The thing that is ridiculous is that this is almost entirely about "highly competitive" universities - and one of the reason they are highly competitive is that they offer a rich educational environment that will become less so with a more homogenized student body.
