MORE "positive self-gratification." That's at least three mentions. Weird how coaches get hung up on certain odd phrases.

And then there's "I never tried to leave Miami." What, he just got lost on his way to the grocery store and wound up in Tuscaloosa?

(Nice work, John. Glad I'm not the only one fascinated by that.)

I would like to congratulate myself and M_W, who have shared a room for the past two days without a single verbal/online cheap shot or open-hand slap. :)

Saban is halfway entertaining when in a situation like this, because he knows he can't pull the same shit he does with the regular beat guys on a daily basis.

    It's perfect for Saban ... a talking point ... a gameplan.

My plan on not being an ass continues to be in effect. It is tough, as it isn't really my default attitude. :)

That certainly makes two of us.

  8. Johnson may be dull but he's one hell of a coach.

I'd love to see what he could do with all the misused talent at Ole Miss.

    Wow.

(For the record, rb meant we've both been in the media interview room the last two days. We haven't been sharing a hotel room. Just wanted to make that perfectly clear.)

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I think someone needs to ask Sly about the arrival of David Beckham and how that affects his job at MSU. And how excited he is for Beckham.
