Exactly why I gave up. Until the people who SAY they want change start VOTING for change, it’s hopeless.

It’s not mental illness. Every country on earth has mental illness. It’s the unfettered access to weapons of war.

    It’s the fucking guns.

The most recent shooter bought seven guns from five different stores, legally, over a couple of years. And while responsibility devolves onto those who don't store their weapons properly, many school shootings are done by a kid with a gun taken from home, or a relative/friend's home.

I tell you that I truly believe that if you started by buying guns to get as many off the street as you can, then start taking them under any program we can devise, you might get a third of them. If you're lucky. There are a lot of people who would put their guns into a piece of 4" PVC pipe, throw in a dozen dessicant packs, glue end caps on them and then bury them somewhere. "Oh, my house was broken into and my guns were stolen." "Oh, I was duck hunting and my shotgun fell in the lake and I couldn't get it back."

It could be done, but you'd have to be draconian as hell and merciless about enforcement. It would be hugely divisive. And it wouldn't just be Southerners.

Wooden box, cosmoline, guns buried in the woods. That’s how the smart ones will do it. A bit of a bitch getting the cosmoline off, though.

Or up in the attic, way in the back between the ceiling joists and under the insulation.

This guy tells it like it is.

    I'm not a gun-grabber - but I do support red-flag laws.

You gonna march up to the Supreme Court and tell the mean people “no” Rudy Huxtable?

Really though, do share this genius plan for solving what has become an intractable issue paralyzing all levels of our government.

Then why has it not changed?

Why, if anything, is it worse?
