Gavin Newsom makes an attempt at a wider gun-control effort. It won't get through, but it's nice to see someone make an open, legitimate attempt at some changes that are needed.

I really wish Newsom would run for President, this cycle, and not only because of this issue. He just seems to be on the right side of most things and is an intelligent, professional adult trying to get things done. He's also younger, and therefore, more acceptable, age-wise, for the job, and I believe he could garner support he doesn't currently have yet if he ran.

 

Newsom isn't my cup of tea - too much of a Clinton vibe - and I probably wouldn't be pals with him, but the guy would be a good President and would win.

 

Finally, a politician that is moving beyond thoughts and prayers and taking action.

McCarthy is an idiot.

 

Heard a guy on a sports talk station of all places talking about all the fuss about Ja Morant and flashing guns and saying "everything needs to change, we see national leaders with their entire families gathered around the Christmas tree with assault rifles - they are the same thing."

It would be fun to see Ja Morant celebrated as Gun Guy of the Year or whatever at the NRA convention.
