Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition. Its all just sad. I still get the Sandy Hook e-mails and texts asking for money. I wish money could solve it.

A few years ago, a high school friend was a retired LAPD cop. He got another job as head of security at Harvard-Westlake, a prominent junior high and high school on Coldwater Canyon in the Hollywood Hills between Beverly Hills and North Hollywood. At a class reunion, he whispered to me, "These school shootings have been a large boost to retired cops getting jobs at private schools."

My friend left his high-paying, high-level IT gig at Disney to become H-W’s director of IT. I didn’t even know schools had such a thing.

Not that long ago, JSerra High School in San Juan Capistrano was hiring a baseball coach. That's the school Scott Boras' kids go to. JSerra was getting calls from college coaches because it paid better.
