Actually, I take the "not really a blindside" thing back after seeing a frame-by-frame. It's really, really close to being blindside no matter how much the league doesn't want to admit it. Horton actually turns into Rome, not away from him like I remembered. Rome spends most of the play traveling across the blueline while Horton is crossing it heading into the zone.

It's not one of the most ridiculous rule 48 violations I've seen this season, but it's a lot closer than I remembered it. Frame-by-frame is here for those wanting to see it: http://hfboards.com/showpost.php?p=33490830&postcount=434

Where is the puck from last year's Cup winning goal?

Could the linesman really not know/remember what he did with it, or is he not telling the truth?

If he can't get the puck authenticated, it has no value. Still hard to believe he didn't know how important that puck was.

    There's a blast from the not-so past.

Linesman took the puck and immediately sold it. Possibly/probably to someone at the game. Might well have set the whole thing up before the game. That person probably has all the authentication he needs.

This may be a D_B but it's worth repeating.
While waiting at the dentist's office today I read an old SIllustrated, with Dallas and the Lakers on the cover.
The "Sign of the Apocalypse" detailed how a Vancouver car dealership was ordered to take down a banner, which said "Go Canucks" and used an old, outdated team logo, because it infringed on someone's copyright.

I'm pulling for the Bruins after what happened in the last game anyway, but Geez!

Steve Miller made the Stanley Cup puck disappear. Abracadabra. :)

Gotta say, I'm an unabashed Bruins homer, but the way the Canucks have bitched and moaned this series have upped my hatred exponentially. I think I hate them more than the Canadiens now.

After whining about Rome's completely warranted suspension, they can't find enough to complain about.

    Tim Thomas isn't playing fair!

    The Bruins are bullying us!

    The ice is crappy!

For a team that's leading in the series, it sounds even worse. Never mind the fact that following Fingergate and Horton getting decapitated, the Sedins are flopping around like fish, Raffi Torres tried to take out Boychuk with a flying elbow, and Burrows took a two-handed slash at Thomas. Not to say the Bruins have been complete angels, but Vancouver is truly detestable. I've never rooted harder in my life for one team and against another.

at least you admit you're a homer.

If Thomas wants to hit people, he should be ready for anything he gets.

I find it hilarious that the Big Bad Bruins are whining about the Canucks playing dirty. Wasn't it just last year Savard bit Carcillo? Chara on Pacioretty, Lucic is as mean as they come(which I like). It's fucking hockey for Christ sake.

The Canucks can't get into the stuff after the whistle Boston is much bigger and more physical. The Canucks need to get their power play going so it takes a bit of the edge off the Bruins physicality.

I understand why people hate the Canucks, I have a hard time liking them and I've been a fan for 30 years, but lets keep our bitching straight. To portray the Bruins as choir boys is ridiculous, nor should they be choir boys. It's the NHL Final.

I agree with you on the Canuck flopping, it's embarassing.

Thing is, I don't see the Bruins using the media to air their grievances. Even after Burrows chomped on Bergeron, the message out of the locker room was "We'll let the league handle it." Once the non-decision was made, the message was "we're moving on." I haven't seen any Boston player complaining off the ice about anything. Maybe I'm mistaken or have blinders on. The Canucks, however, have their panties in a twist over EVERYTHING, when their actions at Rogers Arena were the cause of all the Game 3 shenanigans -- of which both parties were guilty.

That's fair, I respect the way Julien has dealt with his team.

I have no problem with them defending their teammate in Rome, that's what teammates do. I'm behind the suspension but it is harsh. He is a split second from a clean hit. Scott Stevens is in the hall of fame for those hits. I understand the game is different and as long as the league uses this as a starting point going forward I have no problem with this suspension.
