Matching the whateverthefuck that was first goal off Hendricks' skate in the second.

    It's the playoffs.

Fuck style points. I'll take the win.

And just to give the obligatory ... "A series is not over until one team wins four games."

But, really, how the hell can the Rangers bounce back from THAT and win three straight?

Then again, it is the Caps. So who the hell knows...

Strange, I said to someone during the second intermission of the Rangers game: "I know they haven't blown a third period lead all year, but I just have a feeling Washington scores three and eventually wins in OT." Although, I figured Ovechkin would have at least one of the goals.

Given the way the Rangers play, I count Washington's comeback as even a notch better than the one San Jose pulled the previous night against the Kings.

That said, it would not totally shock me to see the Rangers win Game 5. Every game in this series could have easily gone either way. Neuvirth is playing much better than I expected him to as a playoff rookie.

  7. That Sharks game was absolutely playoff quality. The playoffs are not always defensive-oriented. The majority of the games are, but it's not required.

April 8, 1971 - Game 2 of the quarter-final series between Boston and Montreal. The Bruins jumped out to a 5-1 lead midway through the second period. With five minutes left, they were still up by four goals. They took a 5-2 lead into the third period and lost 7-5.

Montreal hadn't been given much of a chance against the Bruins, who had set all kinds of records during the regular season as they chased a second consecutive Stanley Cup, but the Habs won the series in seven games and went on to take the Cup.

Very little from what I recall. Seemed kinda quiet in there. Weird.

    :)

Glad they take concussions and dirty hits seriously now. Otherwise Rutuu might have gotten 72 virgins instead of a 1-game suspension.

Habs get a power play with 2 minutes left in a tie game.
