Sharks get two quick goals in the second period, one essentially an own-goal, lead 2-0.

Now 3-0. Power play goal (TV is on the other side of the newsroom, dammit).

Terry Murray needs to work on his first-intermission pep talks.
That's 8 goals in the past two second periods for the Sharks, and there's still 10 minutes left in this one.

    No idea.
Hey, kudos to the Caps for that comeback. Seriously, that game may be a turning point in the series and their rep as choking dogs

Oh, those two goals the Kings scored late in the second? Gave 'em back to the Sharks early in the third. Having seen so may Shark flameouts that the hockey portion of my brain is scorched earth, but still ...

Chicago has now outscored Vancouver 17-11 in the series, but trails 3-2.

Sunday night in Chicago should be wild. I imagine the building will be a zoo from the get go.

Seems like a trip back west for a game 7 showdown or meltdown, depending on your perspective, is a quite likely scenario.

I almost think the Canucks' best shot might actually be in Game 6 in Chicago. Because if that thing gets back to Vancouver, pretty much everybody associated with them is going to be in full meltdown mode.

I agree with you, this whole city is in meltdown mode already.

Only three teams have come back from a 3-0 series deficit. Obviously, one was last year. There was also one in 1941 and the other was in the 1960s.

Islanders over Penguins in 74-75 was one of them.
