Kings win, but are still in deep shit. It took 51 saves by Quick to get tonight's victory.

Yet, why do I see the Sharks sending Nietti out there again in Game 6, under the "we got this far with him" theory of coaching?

Today's the day Pred fans have been waiting for for more than a decade...

...Carrie Underwood will be singing the National Anthem.

It would be nice for the Caps if they could find a way to hit the "copy" button from yesterday's game and change the number to 12. About as complete a game as I've seen a team play from start to finish. You watch that and you think, damn, maybe they can do it. Defense and goaltending have been very good, Semin is playing well, some of the non-stars are acting like stars *** yeah, I know. Long way to go. But I think even resident Caps hater JR would admit there's a lot to like about that team.

I was out camping yesterday so I finally finished watching Caps-Rangers on the DVR. Absolutely complete performance. Dominating at times. Anyone who thought Neuvirth would be a weakness for Washington might change their minds now.

I think you have JR mixed up with someone else. He was rooting for the Caps in that series. :D

HC, we count on you to take better care of his old self than that. Keep him off the sauce!

I love jerking his chain about the Caps as I know he loves jerking mine. I may have to fly up there and actually SEE him rooting for the Caps to believe it.

So, they managed to beat a team that barely got into the playoffs. Don' think it'll be as easy in the second round. But HC's right. I don't hate the Caps. I mostly don't care about them one way or the other

And Moddy, you have a standing dinner invitation. You and The Queen just have to come to Toronto to collect

The point, sir, is they looked good doing it. Came from 3-0 down to wrest control of the series and then choked the life out of them in the next game.

And I'm hungry. We're on the way.

Of course, it won't be as easy in the second round. Most playoff rounds do get more difficult the further they go on.

That's not necessarily true. Sometimes the first round is the toughest to get out of. Just ask the Canucks.

They get Buffalo if Buffalo wins, right? Miller will probably get hot as hell and that will be that.
