That's what goaltending is. Getting in position for the puck to be shot into you.

Sharks win Game 2 2-1, holding serve at the Tank.

For those keeping score, that's now six straight one-goal wins over the Wings by the Sharks. Considering the horrendous weekend the Tigers had in Cleveland, it was just a fantastic weekend in Michigan sports.

Don't remind me. Tigers have lost six straight. But Howard was HUGE again today, the team didn't help him until 10 minutes left in the game. Home teams are supposed to win, though, and a series doesn't start until a home team loses. At least that's what the players always spew.

Red Wings seemed more interested in trying to play the bully today than hockey. Isn't Game 2 a little early for that kind of desperation to set in, or was it just a case of the game being called tight? Or maybe Niemi's got a wakeup call after the Kings series?

I don't know, I don't think The Wings were the bully at all. Guys like Eager were going for hits, but the Wings are more often a disciplined team and a knock against them is that they play without an aggressive attitude. Franzen is still hurting from Round One, and Hank is finally getting around to playing better. The refs were a little whistle-happy both ways.

So are the Caps out in four, or do they manage to somehow win one?

Seriously, Roloson made his debut with Gordie Howe, and the Caps can't get one past him.
