What a breakdown by the Caps...horrible line change. I'm happy for Stevie Y.

And LeCavalier wins it in OT on a horrific line change and Mike Green does what every Peewee player is taught not to do: on a two on one he played the guy with the puck

Caps dominated most of the game.

Still not over. Washington has the skill and the goaltending to bounce back

I agree. Not over. In fact, in the 2003 series between the teams, Washington won the first two games in Tampa and the Lightning won four straight. Not that it has any bearing, but there's precedent at least.

An unlikely evening. Bruins win and Dryden loses. :) (See Canadian election thread)

Little-known fact: The Bruins drafted him in 1964, but he never played for them. They traded his rights to Montreal later on draft day.

Say goodnight to the Caps, this series is now officially over.

I'd like to congratulate the Capitals on another trip to the post-season. I hope they enjoyed their stay. The weather should be nice on the golf courses around here on Thursday. Get it in then though because Friday could see some rain.

Really? Because they fell behind 1-0? For fuck's sake.

That said, Backstrom is more hurt than he's letting on. It's the only explanation for how absent he's been in this series.

Backstrom is a liability out there. He needs to be scratched tomorrow.

Tweet by Down Goes Brown: Tonight the Capitals were clearly inspired by the Bin Laden mission Navy Seals - efficient, deadly, and done work after 40 minutes.

Will look forward to watching Boudreau's last game as Capitals coach tomorrow.
