Okay you got me. I took the bait hook line and sinker. Damn.

That said, he has still been one of the best players out there the whole series. I wish Heatley and Marleau, the "big stars", would display the same effort.

The Sharks need to sustain that effort the whole 3 periods, then the Wings will wilt, like they did in the 1st 3 games because the Sharks are younger and should have younger legs. It worries me that McClellan says that the Sharks were out skated, how does a younger team let that happen? Aside from Helm and Datsuyk, the Sharks should outskate everyone else; they should be doing spin o ramas on 41 yrd old Modano, Draper, Holmstrom, and Zetterberg. (Listen I'm a late 40's guy so I understand youth and aging.)

Rewatched the Couture turnover, it wasn't that bad since he was in the neutral zone and turned it over on the other side of the red line.

As the resident hockey newb (do I buy a round of caesars or something?), I'm curious how the weeklong break will affect Tampa Bay-Boston. I feel like I haven't seen an Eastern Conference game since Easter.

OK everyone, who ya got? The dreaded, choking Sharkies or the veteran-laden Red Wings?

OH, and I saw this funny tidbit in the Detroit Free Press:

"Maybe I shouldn't say this, but heres a tip for the sharks: Make a fist, place it against your abdomen, and shove it inward and upward. At least thats what the Mayo Clinic recommends when you're choking."

    Detroit.

And a Detroit/Boston Final would be friggin' awesome. Two original six teams. Don't even know the last time that happened but I could look it up. Back in a minute with the answer

Edit: Rangers vs Habs in '79. Montreal won in five

Hoo boy, nice pass by Thornton, and finish by Setoguchi. Seemed like a matter of time, after all the chances in the crease.

And there's some of that San Jose smarts. About five seconds after scoring a power play goal, Clowe is sent to the box.

Wow. Couture picks Zetterberg and scores in the final minute of the first.

Sharks look fresh and hungry; Wings look, well ...

Didn't Boston have a 3-0 lead over Philadelphia in Game 7 last year, or am I misremembering?
