Sharks were on the verge of repeating playoff meltdowns. A loss in this series would have been a monumental choke

They didn't so we move on.

First series in NHL history with six games decided by one goal.

Someone asked Thornton about vindication after what has been said and written. Say Joe: "I really honestly believe half you guys don't know anything about the sport, so I don't care what you guys read. Thanks, guys." End of interview. (I think he meant "write," but, the point stands.)

The point is they didn't, hence the talk radio reference. They were called chokers this series before they lost it, 1 year after beating the same team in 5. Ridiculous.

And the Ontario Hockey League championship will go to a seventh and deciding game after the Owen Sound Attack came off the mat and beat Mississauga 3-2 at home in Game 6.

They bounced back from a 7-3 drubbing in Game 5 and will attempt to complete the comeback on Sunday afternoon.

Both Owen Sound and Mississauga are already guaranteed spots in the Memorial Cup later this month.

Because you were being forced to watch each and every game...

I think it says a lot about hockey (or maybe about me) that, with my "hometown" team playing to advance in the NBA playoffs last night, I preferred watching what I could of the Sharks-Wings game.

As a casual (playoffs-only) fan of both leagues, there's no comparison when it comes to intensity and drama.

Great finish to a great series.
