Niemi made some damn good saves last night. He won a Cup last year. Has any goalie taken two different teams to a Cup before in back-to-back years? Are we maybe underrating him?

I would say that the Hawks took him to a cup last year

He also got pulled from two different games in the first round, and there was serious debate whether he was even going to remain a starter. He has been very good these last few games but has been inconsistent all year.

I didn't see this series going past five, but the JJs looked damn good last night at home. Missy will not be a hostile place to play Sunday, hopefully they have a decent crowd :)

Huggy Jr. and I might be in the house. This game's a toss up.

Sharks pulled it off and the bandwagoners like myself sighed a big time relief.

I ragged on Marleau but I give him credit for actually hitting someone last night and scoring the game winner (it was pure hustle as well since he started the play by digging it out from behind his goal then skating to the front of the net)

Good news is I'm going to Gm. 3 (and maybe even 4) and get to see more Stanley Cup Playoff action!!! (Thanks to my college roomie.)

Pretty sure no goalie has taken two different teams in back-to-back years.

And no, we aren't underrating him, as other posters have said.

Might not see Matt Barnaby on ESPN's NHL Stanley Cup Playoff coverage for a little while. Arrested for domestic violence.

Seeing tweets that Derek Boogaard was found dead. WTF?

I'm supposed to work until noon, the game starts at 2 and I have about a two-and-a-half-hour drive. This will be tricky but I think I can make it to the church on time.

Agreed. What does it say about a starting goalie who won the Stanley Cup and then was jettisoned before the last of the confetti had been cleaned up from the parade?

It says he was on a team in cap hell.
