I respect Marleau for dropping the gloves, it was meant to fire up his teammates and did for about 5 secs. until Eager too ANOTHER penalty.

Sharks were exposed and looked like they just wanted to go home.

They've been up both games and were continually up on the Wings as well. Someday, I can only hope that they learn how to play from in front. Sheesh, you're winning man, play like it, not scared.

I actually think Thornton is playing alright, where the hell is Dany Heatley?

The Canucks negate the Sharks size advantage with their speed.

If the third period of Game 2 was any indication, the Sharks have no heart and that might be a problem.

Was talking with a hockey fan on the phone during the third period. Joked about Bieksa needing the assist for the Gordie Howe hat trick. He got that. The Sedins came alive. Ben Eager showed to be one of the biggest pukes (stole that label JR) going.

It's one thing to know you're overmatched. But the Sharks' reaction was of complete desperation ... not "we'll get back in this series" at home, but rather that of "we have no freaking clue what to try next."

That's been the story of the Sharks' playoff history. Sort of like the Capitals on steroids.

Bruins pretty surgical in beating Tampa 2-0. Thomas with the shutout, and he wasn't tested much.

Brutally dull game but I'm cheering for Boston in this so it's OK.
Looked like mid 90's hockey. Boring shit

The Caps' history of playoff chokes goes back long before the Sharks even existed.

Would it be a choke, though, to lose to Vancouver? I understand that they are being manhandled, but on the face of it, will anyone say they lost it more than the Canucks won it?

Making the playoffs 14 of 19 seasons + never playing in the Stanley Cup finals = Choke.

Given that there are many NHL championship droughts that go far beyond 19 years, and even five Cup Final appearance droughts that are longer than San Jose's (including Boston's), I hardly think the Sharks' disappointing playoff results stand out in any way.

On the bright side, at least the Toronto Maple Leafs can say they haven't lost a Stanley Cup Final since 1960.

Sharks are back in, beating the Canucks 4-3 who made it interesting by scoring two in the third to come within a goal. Sharks had TEN powerplays which translated into about 22 minutes where the Sedins were not on the ice

    Vancouver will win Sunday.
