Rangers' D kept em in it. Not sure they'll be able to sustain it. Lundqvist was amazing.

Tonight was the type of playoff game the Caps may not have won in past years because of a less-than-stellar D.

Coyotes had like four or five PP before Detroit had one, but their power play was/is the death of them. Wings played really well without Zetterberg, and Datsyuk is godly when healthy in the postseason. Howard outplayed Bryzgalov as well.

Detroit also got plenty of cringe-worthy calls for them in that game. First Wings goal should have overturned because of GI by Franzen (non penalty but in the crease), and the power play that led to Detroit's third goal was a complete embellish by Holmstrom.

I only flipped through so I can't speak to the game as a whole, but those were exceedingly obvious bad calls in favor of the Wings.

    Preds dominating. Ducks fighting.

So you didn't see the trainwreck of calls against the Wings in the first?

Like I said, I flipped through the game. I think I got home right before the Wings first goal and only watched the early part of the second. I'm not saying it was unfairly reffed because frankly, I didn't watch enough to say. I'm just saying Detroit caught some major breaks from the refs that led directly to goals. Phoenix might have as well for all I know.

There's a Wings fan at my office who claims the Wings never get GI calls that go for them because of Holmstrom's rep. I want to print a color picture off of that first goal with Franzen in the middle of the crease and leave it on his desk, but meh. Too much effort and ink needed.

Arnott to Semin. I like the sound of that. Well worth waiting for the DVR. Might as well get used to it ... gotta work Friday night and Sunday afternoon too. Ballsack.

And then Ovie called him "Jizz" in a televised post-game interview, the audio of which was piped through the arena PA. Awesome. :D

You missed the best game of all - the Owen Sound Attack completed the sweep of the Plymouth Whalers. :)

Dunno. To me it sounded more like "just," not Jizz.

    The audio in
is off by a second or so, but Matt Bradley makes it clear that Semin's nickname is Jizz, which means it's very likely that Ovie did in fact say "Jizz" last night.

Interesting. He's also nicknamed Sasha. So maybe Jizz is his porn name.
