I only saw the last seven minutes, but TB was really discombobulated. In the closing minutes, they had a guy just fall down in their own zone with no one around him -- twice -- and they couldn't get Roloson off the ice to save their life. Offsides, you name it. It had to be hard for a Lightning fan to watch.

Just finished watching the game on DVR. That was an intense game. It was 1-0 just because of the goalies. Could have easily been 3-2 either way.

What was more amazing is that there were no penalties. And it's not like the refs went Rollerball and swallowed the whistles. There may have been just a couple penalties that could have been called. That's it. The teams were aggressive, yet disciplined.

And Stamkos. Oh, that was painful to watch. He's lucky he just got a busted nose.

These playoffs have been great. Bring on the Final.

Wasn't Zdeno Chara on the 2007 Ottawa team that lost to Anaheim in the Final? Can't remember if Chris Kelly was there as well.

Others who have been to the Final: Mark Recchi, Andrew Ference, Raffi Torres, Mikael Samuelsson (although unlikely to play).

Should be a good series. Vancouver probably has more speed, but both goalies are capable of stealing a game ... or a series.

Chara and Luongo. Ugh. Seeing them succeed really pisses off the Islander fan in me.

One of Boston's best stretches during the regular season was a West Coast trip that included a pretty thorough win over the Canucks in their only regular season meeting.
Don't discount the Bs. Thomas is playing pretty well. They have a couple of lines that can score. The other two D pairs are rather suspect (I'd almost rather have Carol Vadnais right now instead of Mr. Kaberle), but if Thomas is on top of his game, they may not have to be perfect. Luongo answered some of the questions about his play on the big stage. But the next two weeks will really tell if he's the man or a mouse.

I'm not discounting the Bruins, but then again, I am a fanboi looser.

I'm sure Kelly was, but Chara was in Boston that year.

Canucks in six. Whether it was Vancouver, San Jose or Detroit, the West is a lot better than the East in general. This year is no different. (I wish Detroit played in the East, which they should.)

Ditto. Plus, I think the B's have the defense to deal with the Sendins. I also think the worst goalie they will have seen during the playoffs will be in this series.

There are plenty of reasons why this year is different from last year, but after Mike Richards wiped out David Krejci last year, the Bruins were a different team. Whenever he's on the ice, I believe something good is going to happen.

I hope Vancouver wins. Canucks were the best team all season long. I don't have any hatred for Boston, though. Looking forward to the series. Just glad the Lightning lost. This ain't college sports. I don't root for teams in my team's conference (division) to win out. Bad enough the Caps continue to suck in the playoffs while Carolina already has two Cup appearances and Tampa has one. At least Winnipeg hasn't been. ;)

It's probably a win-win type thing, if you're not a fan of either team.

If the Canucks win, you get to see a Canadian team winning.
If the Bruins win, you have an Original Six team winning.
