They're the top two 5 on 5 teams in the league but the Sedin twins are better than anything the Bruins have to offer. Offensive advantage: Canucks

I'd say the defense is pretty much even.

Goaltending's up for grabs. Thomas has shown he can be wildly inconsistent as well as Luongo.

Like said before, if the Bruins stay out of the box, they have a chance; otherwise, the Canucks will run them out of the rink

The B's have tended to play better against Western teams than Eastern ones, and have won the only game they played against each other this year.

Thomas can steal a game. Vancouver has a bit more firepower on its top two lines, but Chara-Seidenberg have been an amazingly good top two D-men for Boston. Biggest issue will be special teams -- Vancouver's PP is pretty lethal, Boston's is unwatchably bad.

Terrific profile on the most love/hated guy on Canadian hockey broadcasts: Grapes

Cherry’s vehicles — two 1983 Lincoln Continentals (one white, one black) and a 1991 Ford F150 Flare Side truck — are older than many NHL players. He lives on an unremarkable street in Mississauga, in a house so modest it would give Justin Bieber a panic attack. The tattered leather recliner upon which he perches inside his basement “refuge” was purchased in 1964.

Now, for you kids out there, take half of what he says and chuck it in the garbage. The other half is probably right.

What a ridiculous statement. Roloson and the 8 goalies Philly played are better than Luongo?

My only problem with Don Cherry is his choice of clothing. He makes Craig Sager's wardrobe look bland.

How many times has Luongo been pulled?

Thomas > Luongo, for sure, but Luongo has won a big game on a big stage before. Luongo is more steady, while Thomas is more likely to steal a game.

Of the series so far, Philly had by far the worst goaltending. Price nearly stole the series for Montreal (probably the best goaltender the Bruins faced so far) and Roloson was, like Thomas, up-and-down for the entire series.

Vancouver has more firepower up front. Boston has a better defensive group and one of the best shut-down pairings in the game. Boston is probably deeper, but both teams have 3-4 pretty solid lines. I'm expecting a very good, very long series.

Twice, did you watch the San Jose series?

Twice, plus he did not start one game. Yes, he was solid in the San Jose series but would you not say that, looking at the playoffs as a whole, he has been the most inconsistent netminder the Bruins will face?

Considering that in the Philly series, the Bruins faced three different goaltenders, it would be hard to say Luongo was more inconsistent than that.

Well, Boucher, Bobrovsky and Leighton were certainly more consistent, but consistently bad.

Has Luongo been shaky at times? Yes. But saying he's worse than the Flyers goalies is insane. Saying he's worse than Roloson is also probably wrong, although maybe not insane.
