How can you possibly say that? Philly played 3 different goalies. Roloson was pulled and didn't start a game. It's like people just aren't watching and jump on the same cliched BS.

Thomas has also not been the model of consistency in these playoff as well

So who is the most pivotal person in this series? Luongo? As he goes the series goes?

I know I have had my doubts about him in the past, but I hope he steps up and wins a Cup for Canada. Unless Pittsburgh is involved, I always like to see a Canadian team win this thing.

Probably Luongo and Thomas, in general. I do think Kesler is really unique and nobody on Boston can really match up with his skill on both ends. Kesler can wrap up a Conn Smythe if he has a good Finals and they win.

Anyone else find it interesting that the NHL playoffs started before the NBA playoffs, yet the NBA Finals begin BEFORE the NHL's?

Nick, as far as Kesler, the Canucks don't HAVE to win the Cup for him to win the Conn Smythe. It's pretty rare, but there have been a few times the CS winner came from the losing team. Remember, it's MVP of the entire playoffs, not just the Final.

Five times and the only non goalie was Reggie Leach back in the 70's with the Flyers

If the Canucks lose, I really have a hard time imagining a scenario where Thomas doesn't get the Smythe.

The NHL has had a bunch of series go seven games where the NBA has had a bunch of four and five game series, like the conference finals.

If the Bruins win it will go to a Bruin. Bergeron has been great.

That's true, JC, but the poor phrasing of my sentence obscured its meaning that for the Bruins to win, I think Thomas has to play great in the Final, and award voters tend to reward what they last saw.
