The NBA and its star protection/slanting of calls to favor big-market teams and attractive TV matchups, perhaps?

Burrows' offense -- biting a player ON THE ICE in a scrum -- is a far more suspendable offense than Horton who was responding to having projectiles thrown at him from the stands (although it shouldn't have been done, either). When the league sends a message that players can get away with that, it makes a difference.

Boston has crapped its pants the last 10 minutes of both games, and they've pissed away two pretty winnable games in Vancouver. Thomas nearly always backs up a bad game -- and when you gak the GWG as badly has he did, that counts as a bad game -- by stealing the next one. Boston wins Game 3 and the series momentum shifts. All the B's have to do is hold serve at home the next two nights. They're not the far inferior team that everyone is making them out to be.

With Horton, the league at least fined him. And was it him or Krejci that got beaned with the handout that were getting thrown on the ice? Burrows not even a fine.

OK, I give up. You made a statement about the NHL and its fans and finger pointing. Please explain what the hell you're talking about.

Chara should have rammed Burrows into the end boards and not allowed him to get free for a wrap-around. Take the penalty, but don't give up an empty-net tap in in overtime.

Chara was trying to CATCH Burrows on the play and there was no way he could have hit him. The problem was he had a lazy stick.

And Ference turned the puck over after the face-off which started the breakdown

I'm fine with Burrows playing. I recall the 2009 Finals and how Evgeni Malkin should have been suspended in that do-or-die Game 3, but the NHL let him play and the rest was history. Can't play one and not the other.

No one can figure out the league's disciplinary system. It's been like Alice in Wonderland most of the time under Campbell. Maybe Shanahan can bring some reason to it

However, I would bet no Bruins player is whining about Burrows scoring the GWG because he should have been suspended. Boston fucked up, pure and simple

This is true, and I'm praying that none of them says anything along those lines. The whining should be left to the fanboi loosers like me. And for the record, I never thought Burrows was going to be suspended, anyway, so when he wasn't, my reaction was, well, that figures. Now just go beat their ass, that's all.

That doesn't mean it doesn't still grind your gears when he plays such a huge role.

Shanahan has never been afraid to go against the grain. He'd suspend if he had to.

Anybody who thinks Burrows should have been suspended is an idiot. Let me put my fingers in your mouth and see what you are going to do

Seriously have none of you ever been in a fight? I'm sure you would just ask the person politely to remove his finger from your mouth. What a joke.

I'm not pissed at all that the NHL didn't suspend the guy. I'm pissed at the Bruins for letting him beat them.
