Chara didn't look great on the winner, but let's consider that's a play he shouldn't have had to make. If Thomas doesn't end up behind the fucking goalline, there's no way Burrows has a chance there.

But that's what Thomas does, and 94% of the time he stops the puck. C'est la vie.

Chara didn't look great at all in any point in that game. Someone above said it, lazy stick, particularly in the corner.

This is so homerific and patently absurd I'm quoting it just for posterity. You do realize every player who has been caught biting has been suspended a handful of games, right?

Bottom line, folks, is Vancouver's a better team. At this point Boston will be hard pressed to win more than a single game.

No news there. Based on the first two, Vancouver will be hard-pressed to win games, too.

They'll probably only win two more all year.

Yeah, no kidding. So let's just call it now [/understandably grouchy, right?]

No hurry. I can wait to more games. It's cool.

Uh, Vancouver has won one game in OT and one game on a bad turnover with 20 seconds left, both at home with the last change. I wouldn't anoint this a sweep quite yet.

Could it be a sweep? Sure, but I'd think it's highly unlikely. Three of the next four games are in Boston, and Thomas is capable of stealing a game.

Plus, Vancouver would NEVER let another team back in a playoff series after taking a 2-game lead.

I know everybody was picking Van beforehand, but if this series winds up being a sweep, I'm guessing it's not going to be one of those sweeps where everybody says "That team didn't belong on the same ice with Our Champs in the first place" and "Gee, I saw that coming before they even dropped a puck."

It will be like the Red Wings' sweep of the Capitals in the '98 Finals. All the games close, but one team is still clearly better.

The only thing keeping the Bruins competitive in these games is Tim Thomas.
