He was just weird and goofy.....he was telling odd personal stories and not really doing what he was supposed to do, which is promte the damn show.

You can always count on the kitties, in a pinch.

If I'm watching a fantasy show, where people can fly etc. I'll suspend disbelief just fine. When I'm watching a show that is supposed to be one of the best written and smartest out there, not so much.

A "behind the scenes" show needs to be based in reality. Things can be exaggerated, but the meeting scene was completely unbelievable and makes me doubt just how smart the writing is.

For me, it's not that I don't buy an attractive woman as a TV exec, it's that I don't buy Amanda Peet as said woman.

"Attractive" wasn't the problem for me... it was the grinning, as others have pointed out... the coquettishness.

When I saw your post, I googled Tarses and found that she supposedly had a thing with Matthew Perry back in '97. Another Sorkin inside joke, I guess.

I just think 'Entourage' does this sort of thing so much better. And none of these characters approach Ari Gold.

"Coquettishness." Wait, and it's two triple-word scores!

    Thank you.

    It's NOT that she's pretty ... she's too young.

The C.J. Craig actress would have been perfect in that role, just not so hot.

I could buy Peet as the president of like Bravo or maybe the CW. But not a Big 3. She is smoking hot though.

She's not a president of the Big 3. She's president of NBS, which appears to be a fifth network trying to compete with ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX. Ed Asner's character read part of her resume which mentioned she'd worked at all (or most) of the other four networks.
