Of the late additions, I really like James Lesure from "Las Vegas" and the calm his character's shown with Cordrry's character. The line the other night about how the media is out to get celebrities, and then Lesure's retort that he's spent most of his adult life dealing with people who are trying to take his life, was really well-played. Their dialogue has been the best thing on the show, aside from trying to keep up with Sarah Paulson's flashback hair.

She was one of Howard's bosses at one of his stops. I can't remember which stop, as it's been a long time since I saw that.

She was not the one astride the speaker, that much I know...

He has been very good. But in typical maddening Sorkin fashion (along with the lawyer expert on medical conditions for pregnant women and the director expert on K&R insurance), he glances at Simon's outburst and is immediately able to figure out what Simon needs to do from a PR perspective.

Las Vegas is my guiltiest pleasure on network TV... I love the show... Apparently so do a lot of people since it's coming back for its fourth season...

Damn, I'm gonna miss this show. I don't care about politics. I just liked hearing smart people having smart conversation. And Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford have the best chemistry on TV.

It doesn't hurt that they're the only two TV actors I've 'had a crush on' in the last 10 years. :-\

Who'd have anticipated Sorkin writing the show's final scenes as a tribute to Sammy Maudlin and William B. Williams?

    "I love you, man."
    "I love you too, man."
    "I love you more."
"No! I love you more, my brother!"
    "You're the best!"
    "You are!"
"Did I mention that I love you, man?"

That's it. That's it exactly. Say what you will about the rest of the show, but there's not a show on network TV that offers better dialogue than Studio 60. It will be nominated for multiple Emmys for its writing, guaranteed.

I also agree about Perry and Whitford. The show might have been more successful if it had realized that Matt and Danny were the most interesting couple on the show, rather than shoving Matt and Harriet (who were annoying together) and Danny and Jordan (who were unbelievable together) down our throats.

Ah, well. Another good show dies a premature death, while According to Jim lives on.

Just started watching after getting home from work, and I spotted an anachronism. The "Five Years Earlier" flashback featured a newscast that appeared to say the U.S. was in the second week of air strikes against Afghanistan. That was mid-October 2001.

Matt said something to Harriet to downplay something else and said there was no reason for "an Orange alert." The color-coded threat level advisory system made its debut in March 2002, and I don't think the terms were commonly used five months earlier. Minor point, but I rarely catch anachronisms, so there.

    Still watching ...
